The LMGA, in association with Samy’s Photo School, is proud to announce a series of guest lectures designed specifically for LMGA members.
Our first presenter is a renowned time-lapse photographer and videographer, JEFF FROST.

Frost was a featured speaker at this year’s PhotoLA and opened the 2012 Palm Springs Photo Festival. He is becoming a YouTube phenomenon.  His “Flawed Symmetry of Prediction” is a Vimeo Staff Pick.

“Combining still and time-lapse photography with motion, music, and art, Frost reveals a world rarely seen. Rooted in science and the exploration of space, Frost’s work explodes with light, fire, and sound, utilizing 2D and 3D perspective, leading the viewer on a unique visual journey through worlds both real and imagined,” photographer Dan Milnor.

ABOUT SAMY’S PHOTO SCHOOL:

Michael Britt, Samy’s Education Director, has been instrumental and essential to this joint event. Being an early adopter of digital photography led Michael to several years of speaking and teaching about Digital Workflow at prominent events such as Thomas Knoll’s Soup-To-Nuts, a 5-city tour with PDN On the Road, PIDE San Diego and the Digital Media Festival in Sydney, Australia.   After producing the first conference about DSLR Filmmaking, Michael launched the PhotoCine News to discuss the convergence of photography and cinematography.  This was followed by another conference and DVD set in 2010 and the book “PhotoCine Digital Filmmaking with DSLRs” for Cengage Publishing. As a workflow expert he was tapped to write the guide that shipped with Adobe Lightroom 1.0.  His experience with photo education has led him to become the Director of Education for Samy’s Camera in Southern California which he has turned into one of the largest photo programs on the West Coast.

Samy’s Photo School , part of Samy’s Camera, serves thousands of students every year offering classes for all levels of photographers on subjects that include DSLR Video, Lightroom/Photoshop, Digital Black and White, Fine Art Travel, Studio and Location Lighting.
