Forced Perspective Photography has been used since the early days of photography and cinema to create fantastic, surreal worlds.  Movies such as the 1933 King Kong and more recently Peter Jackson’s film series Lord of the Rings used the technique extensively. The character Hagrid in the Harry Potter movies loomed large by the tricking the viewer’s eye with varying sizes of set pieces, while those closest to Hagrid were sized much smaller than those surrounding Harry and his friends.
