{"id":11248,"date":"2014-03-23T17:30:12","date_gmt":"2014-03-24T00:30:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/locationmanagers.org\/?p=11248"},"modified":"2021-09-29T13:21:31","modified_gmt":"2021-09-29T20:21:31","slug":"about-the-lmga-eva-monley-honorary-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/locationmanagers.org\/es\/about-the-lmga-eva-monley-honorary-award\/","title":{"rendered":"About the LMGA Eva Monley Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<span class=\"cb-itemprop\" itemprop=\"reviewBody\"><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-11256 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/home\/locatis4\/public_html\/locationmanagers.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/32.jpeg\" alt=\"32\" width=\"300\" height=\"221\" \/>At a time when women were expected to stay at home and raise children, Eva Monley was roving the globe, scouting remote and difficult regions for such legendary directors as John Huston, David Lean, Otto Preminger, Steven Spielberg and many others. \u00a0She was a spirited, innovative person whose contributions to the location profession spanned a four-decade career.<\/p>\n<p>When considering the Honorary Award, the LMGA Board of Directors voted unanimously to name the Honorary Award after her.<\/p>\n<p>Eva Monley died November 12, 2011 in her home in Kenya of pneumonia at the age of 88.
