Award Nominees are instrumental in the creative use of filming locations that set the tone, enrich the character, and enhance the narrative.<\/p>\n<p>Eligibility for all nominations and awards shall be determined by screen credits or as certified to the LMGI by the producing companies, but final credit determination and nomination eligibility in any event shall be made by the LMGI. No producers or other person may alter an individual\u2019s screen credit in order to qualify the individual for Award eligibility. The LMGI reserves the right to make its own determination of credit for purposes of award consideration. In the event of a credit dispute, the nomination eligibility for the LMGI Awards shall be determined by the LMGI Awards Committee whose decision will be final. Additionally, the LMGI reserves the right to declare any entry in dispute as ineligible or alternatively to list credits as being in controversy and withhold any award until the dispute is settled.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>ENTRY SUBMISSIONS AND VOTING RULES, REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Entry Submission\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/locationmanagers.org\/es\/8th-annual-lmgi-awards-submission-forms\/\"><strong>Forms <\/strong><\/a>are available on the LMGI website.<\/li>\n<li>Correct and complete entry information is the responsibility of the person or company submitting the entry Submission Form. The LMGI is not liable for incorrect ballot or crew listings that are the result of incorrect or incomplete information on the entry forms. Any submissions not submitted completely or that results in vetting\/verification not being possible may result in the submission being disqualified.<\/li>\n<li>If an entry is submitted in the wrong category or with erroneous information by the entrant, and the error is not discovered until the ballot reaches the voters, it may be disqualified.\u00a0 If the LMGI makes an error or provides erroneous information on the ballot, a correction notification will be issued.<\/li>\n<li>Final approval of category placement and eligibility shall be determined by the LMGI Awards Committee.<\/li>\n<li>Submissions must be available to be viewed in the United States either theatrically, on demand, a streaming service or a digital screener to be made available to the awards committee for viewing.<\/li>\n<li>Submissions will be accepted from LMGI members and business partners, film commissions, location professionals, industry professionals and vendors, studios, and production companies.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><u>ELIGIBILITY<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If there are three (3) or fewer qualifying works submitted in a category other than the Honorary Awards, the Board of Directors may elect not to give an award in that category for the current year.<\/p>\n<p>Productions from any country are eligible as long as they satisfy the below requirements.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Feature Film Eligibility:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>First released between July 1, 2020 and June 1, 2021<\/strong>; over 40 minutes in length, commercial run by June 30th, 2021. At least 60% must be filmed on location (which may include 2nd Unit and VFX unit days if applicable and will be verified during the vetting process)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Television Program Eligibility:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Initial broadcast between July 1, 2020 and June 1, 2021<\/strong>.\u00a0 At least 60% must be filmed on location (which may include 2nd Unit and VFX unit days if applicable and will be verified during the vetting process).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Commercial Eligibility:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Initial broadcast between July 1, 2020 and June 1, 2021.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>At least 60% must be filmed on location (which may include 2nd Unit and VFX unit days if applicable and will be verified during the vetting process).<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>CATEGORY DEFINITIONS<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong> Outstanding Locations in a Contemporary Film:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For any released feature length live-action motion picture.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Outstanding Locations in a Period Film:\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For any released feature length live-action motion picture. The film must portray a time period at least 20 years prior or at least 10 years after the current award year.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Outstanding Locations in a Contemporary TV Series or Program:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Includes Broadcast TV, Cable and\u00a0 SVOD (Streaming Video On Demand).<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong>Outstanding Locations in a Period TV Series or Program:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Includes Broadcast TV, Cable and\u00a0 SVOD. Must portray a time period at least 20 years prior or at least 10 years after the current award year.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><strong>TV Serial Program, Anthology, MOW or Limited Series:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For any multi-episode,serialized program or MOW on any platform that is contained in its narrative\/stories\/arc to a single season.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li><strong>Outstanding Locations in a Commercial:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For a single advertising spot with a minimum length of 15 seconds.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li><strong>Outstanding Film Commission\/Office (worldwide):\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For exemplary and creative work performed above and beyond the usual service provided to location professionals on a specific feature film, television series or commercial.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:\u00a0<\/strong>Final approval of a category placement and eligibility shall be determined by the LMGI Awards Committee.\u00a0 A feature film, television program or commercial with eligibility in a prior year cannot be reentered in the current awards\u2019 year, even though it may have been modified with new footage.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>VOTING AND PROCEDURES\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Nominations will be determined by the LMGI Awards Entry Curation Subcommittee based on the creative use of evocative locations to set the tone, enrich the character and enhance the narrative.<\/li>\n<li>Nominees in each category are announced August 20, 2021<\/li>\n<li>Online voting begins September 10, 2021.<\/li>\n<li>Any appeals or petitions must be submitted to the Awards committee (email to:\u00a0 awards@LocationManagers.org)\u00a0 within five calendar days of the announcement of nominations. After this time, no appeals or petitions may be made.
