\"\"Actor and director Isaiah Mustafa<\/strong>, will return to host the Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) 8th<\/sup> Annual LMGI Awards on Saturday, October 23, at 2:00 p.m. PT (pre-show at 1:00 p.m. PT) during a virtual ceremony (#LMGIawards). The awards celebration, themed \u201cCelebrate the Where,\u201d <\/em>will be free to stream, but registration is required<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A man of many talents, Isaiah Mustafa is a former NFL football wide receiver. After his career in the NFL, he turned to acting and appeared in dozens of hit films and series, as well as becoming a commercial icon. In addition to his well-known main character in the series of Old Spice television commercials, \u201cThe Man Your Man Could Smell Like,\u201d Mustafa\u2019s numerous acting and directing roles include \u201cIt Chapter Two\u201d (2019), \u201cShadowhunters\u201d (2016) and \u201cHorrible Bosses\u201d (2011).<\/p>\n

As previously announced, David Yates, the English director of the last four Harry Potter<\/em>films and the Fantastic Beasts <\/em>films, will receive this year\u2019s LMGI Eva Monley Award. Veteran Location Manager\u00a0<\/strong>Aine Furey\u00a0<\/strong>will be honored with this year\u2019s Lifetime Achievement Award for her career spanning over four decades. Patricia Fay, who spent many years traveling the country by trains, planes snowmobiles and whatever it took as a location manager until her retirement in 2000, will be bestowed with the esteemed Trailblazer Award. The LMGI Humanitarian Award honoree will be announced shortly.<\/p>\n

The 8th<\/sup> Annual LMGI Awards honor the outstanding and creative visual contributions by location professionals in film, television and commercials from around the globe. The awards also recognize outstanding service by film commissions for their support \u201cabove and beyond\u201d during the production process. This year’s show will be produced by Erick Weiss, Honeysweet Creative<\/a> and\u00a0IngleDodd Media<\/a> and written by Shelly Goldstein. Committee Chair of this year\u2019s LMGI Awards is John Rakich.<\/p>\n
