Award Nominees are essential to the process of selecting filming locations that set the tone, enrich the character, and enhance the narrative.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eligibility for all nominations and awards shall be determined by screen credits or as certified to the LMGI by the producing companies, but final credit determination and nomination eligibility in any event shall be made by the LMGI. No producers or other person may alter an individual\u2019s screen credit in order to qualify the individual for Award eligibility. The LMGI reserves the right to make its own determination of credit for award consideration. In the event of a credit dispute, the nomination eligibility for the LMGI Awards shall be determined by the LMGI Awards committee whose decision will be final. Additionally, the LMGI reserves the right to declare any entry in dispute as ineligible or alternatively to list credits as being in controversy and withhold any award until the dispute is settled.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>ENTRY SUBMISSIONS AND VOTING RULES, REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entry Submission Forms are available on the LMGI website at <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/locationmanagers.org\/es\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LocationManagers.org<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Correct and complete information is the responsibility of the person or company submitting the entry form. The LMGI is not liable for incorrect ballot or crew listings that are the result of incorrect or incomplete information on the entry forms. Any submissions not submitted completely or that results in vetting\/verification not being possible may result in the submission being disqualified.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If an entry is submitted in the wrong category or with erroneous information by the entrant, and the error is not discovered until the ballot reaches the voters, it may be disqualified.\u00a0 If the LMGI provides erroneous information on the ballot, a correction notification will be issued.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Final approval of category placement and eligibility shall be determined by the LMGI Awards committee.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Submissions must be available to be viewed by the Awards committee on available platforms. If a submission is in a language other than English, it must be subtitled.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Submissions will be accepted from anyone, including LMGI members, Business Partners, film\u00a0 commissions, location and industry professionals, vendors, studios, production companies, as well as individuals not associated with the project.\u00a0 There is no submission fee.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>ELIGIBILITY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If there are three (3) or fewer qualifying works submitted in a category other than the Honorary Awards, the Board of Directors may elect not to give an award in that category for the current year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Productions from any country are eligible as long as they satisfy the below requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Feature Film Eligibility:<\/b> <b>First released between June 2, 2022 and June 1, 2023<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; over 40 minutes in length, commercial run by June 2, 2022. At least 60% must be filmed on location and may include 2nd Unit and VFX unit days.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Television Program Eligibility<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: <\/span><b>Initial broadcast between June 2, 2022 and June 1, 2023.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 At least 60% must be filmed on location and may include 2nd Unit and VFX unit days.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Commercial Eligibility<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: <\/span><b>Initial broadcast between June 2, 2022 and June 1, 2023.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 At least 60% must be filmed on location and may include 2nd Unit and VFX unit days.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>CATEGORY DEFINITIONS<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Outstanding Locations in a Contemporary Film:\u00a0 <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For any released feature length live-action motion picture.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Outstanding Locations in a Period Film:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 For any released feature length live-action motion picture. The film must portray a time period at least 20 years prior or at least 10 years after the current award year.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Outstanding Locations in a Contemporary TV Series or Program: <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Includes Broadcast TV, Cable and Streaming platforms.<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Outstanding Locations in a Period TV Series or Program:\u00a0 <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Includes Broadcast TV, Cable and Streaming platforms. Must portray a time period at least 20 years prior or at least 10 years after the current award year.<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>TV Serial Program, Anthology, MOW or Limited Series:<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> For any multi-episode, serialised program or MOW on any platform that is contained in its narrative\/stories\/arc to a single season.<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Outstanding Locations in a Commercial: <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For a single advertising spot with a minimum length of 15 seconds.<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Outstanding Film Commission\/Office (worldwide):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> For exemplary and creative work performed above and beyond the usual service provided to location professionals on a specific feature film, television series or commercials released between June 2, 2022 and June 1, 2023.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Note: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Final approval of a category placement and eligibility shall be determined by the LMGI Awards Committee.\u00a0 A feature film, television program or commercial with eligibility in a prior year cannot be reentered in the current awards\u2019 year, even though it may have been modified with new footage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>VOTING AND PROCEDURES\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nominations for voting will be determined by the LMGI Awards committee based on the percentage of the production filmed on location as well as the creative use of evocative locations to set the tone, enrich the character and enhance the narrative.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nomination voting will open June 2, 2023, and will close June 11, 2023.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The five (5) submissions receiving the highest number of nomination votes in each category will become the nominees for the final voting. In the event of a tie for the 5th position, the category will increase to 6 nominees. Nominees in each category are announced June 30, 2023.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Final round online voting will begin July 14, 2023 and will close July 24, 2023.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any appeals or petitions must be submitted to the Awards committee (email to:\u00a0 awards@LocationManagers.org)\u00a0 within five calendar days of the announcement of nominations. After this time, no appeals or petitions may be made. Decisions regarding any and all appeals and petitions will be made by the LMGI Awards Committee whose decision will be final.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>BALLOT \u2013 VOTING AND PROCEDURES<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nomination online voting will begin June 2, 2023.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Nomination Ballot will list all eligible entries nominated in each category alphabetically.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LMGI location professionals in good standing will vote for their top five entries in each category.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nomination voting will end June 11, 2023 11:59 PM PDT<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The five (5) submissions receiving the highest number of nomination votes in each category will become the nominees for the final voting. In the event of a tie for the 5th position, the category will increase to 6 nominees.
