The Motion Picture & Television Fund, <\/strong>Sue Quinn
\nand Bill Bowling Receive Special Honors<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) announced the\u00a0 winners of its 11th Annual LMGI Awards. The Motion Picture awards went to \u201cOppenheimer\u201d<\/strong> (filmed throughout New Mexico) and \u201cMission Impossible: Dead Reckoning – Part 1\u201d <\/strong>(filmed in Norway, the United Kingdom and Italy). The Television Series winners were \u201cFallout\u201d <\/strong>(filmed in Utah, New York and Namibia), \u201cFargo\u201d<\/strong> (filmed in Alberta, Canada) and \u201cRipley\u201d<\/strong> (filmed around Italy). Toyota: \u201cPresent from the Past\u201d<\/strong> (shot in Washington State) received the award for Outstanding Commercial, and Film in Iceland<\/strong> for \u201cTrue Detective: Night Country\u201d was awarded the Outstanding Film Commission Award.<\/p>\n

The awards ceremony and reception took place at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills before an audience of 400, including LMGI members, industry executives and press. Actress and producer Rachael Harris<\/strong> (\u201cSuits,\u201d \u201cDiary of a Wimpy Kid,\u201d \u201cThe Hangover\u201d) hosted the evening. The LMGI Awards spotlight international features, television and commercials in which the creative use of filming locations set the tone, enrich the character and enhance the narrative of the story. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Motion Picture & Television Fund<\/strong><\/a> (MPTF), celebrating over 100 years of aiding the entertainment community, was bestowed with the LMGI Humanitarian Award, recognizing the MPTF\u2019s commitment to their exceptional work at the forefront of providing a wide range of health and social services to the entertainment community. The award was presented by Camilla Belle <\/strong>(\u201cLaw and Order\u201d). Accepting on behalf of the MPTF was Jennifer Jorge, <\/strong>Director of Community Social Services, MPTF.<\/p>\n

David Shepheard, <\/strong>Vice President, Martini Film Studios, presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Supervising Location Manager Sue Quinn<\/strong>, known for her work on the \u201cFantastic Beasts,\u201d \u201cHarry Potter\u201d and \u201cPirates of the Caribbean\u201d franchises. Recognized for her seamless integration of real-life locations with the magical world in almost 40 films, Quinn has been a key figure in the world of Location Management for over three decades, working on some of the biggest and most successful films in Hollywood.<\/p>\n

The Trailblazer Award was given to Location Manager Bill Bowling, <\/strong>known for his work on blockbuster films such as\u201cJupiter Ascending\u201d and \u201cCloud Atlas.\u201d<\/em> This honor celebrated Bowling\u2019s stellar trailblazing career in the production industry for over five decades, which has led him on a worldwide journey to over 95 countries. Presenting Bowling with the award was Clara Le<\/strong>, Location Guide Commercial Director.<\/p>\n

Additional presenters included Helena-Alexis Seymour<\/strong> (\u201cChronicles of Jessica Wu\u201d), Kate Linder<\/strong> (\u201cYoung and\u00a0 the Restless\u201d), Doug Jones<\/strong> (\u201cThe Shape of Water,\u201d \u201cPan\u2019s Labyrinth\u201d), Gary Hall Jr.<\/strong> (ten-time Olympic swimming\u00a0 medalist), and Jaclyn Philpott <\/strong>(AFCI Executive Director),<\/strong> among others.<\/p>\n
