Academy Award\u00ae-winning actor, producer, director and writer Kevin Costner will be honored with the prestigious Eva Monley Award from the Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) at the 12th<\/sup> Annual LMGI Awards gala on August 23, 2025, at the Eli and Edythe Broad Stage. Recognized for his dedication to storytelling though the lens of locations, Costner has showcased the powerful connection between characters and their environments throughout his illustrious career in iconic films and TV productions such as \u201cDances with Wolves,” “The Bodyguard,” \u201cField of Dreams,\u201d “Yellowstone,\u201d and most recently, \u201cHorizon: An American Saga.\u201d<\/p>\n

His commitment to authenticity and his deep respect for the craft makes<\/span> him a perfect recipient of the Eva Monley Award. Costner, widely recognized for his versatile performances across various genres, has captivated audiences for over four decades. He has received\u00a0various accolades, including two\u00a0Academy Awards, three\u00a0Golden Globe Awards, and a\u00a0Primetime Emmy Award. He rose to prominence starring in such classic films as\u00a0\u201cThe Untouchables,\u201d \u201cBull Durham,\u201d \u201cSilverado,\u201d \u201cJFK,\u201d\u00a0\u201cRobin Hood: Prince of Thieves,\u201d \u201cNo Way Out,\u201d\u00a0and \u201cA Perfect World.\u201d\u00a0He starred in and<\/p>\n

The Eva Monley Award is given to an individual who has made an extraordinary contribution to the art and craft of filmmaking through their commitment to the use of real locations. Past recipients include Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Wes Anderson and Danny Boyle.<\/p>\n

As previously announced, Veteran Location Manager\u00a0Ilt Jones <\/strong>will receive this year\u2019s Lifetime Achievement Award. Jones’s creative visions can be seen on \u201cThe Dark Knight Rises,\u201d \u201cInception,\u201d\u00a0\u201cIron Man 3,\u201d\u00a0\u201cKong: Skull Island,\u201d \u201cBlack Panther: Wakanda Forever,\u201d \u201cCaptain Marvel\u201d\u00a0and the\u00a0\u201cTransformers\u201d\u00a0franchise.<\/p>\n

The LMGI Awards honor the outstanding and creative contributions of location professionals in film, television, commercials, and film commissions from around the globe, and celebrate the art and craft of location scouting and management. Awards will be presented in the following categories: Contemporary Film, Period Film, Contemporary TV, Period TV, Television Anthology\/MOW\/Limited Series, Commercials, and Film Commissions.
