Film Commissions are recognized for exemplary and creative work performed beyond the usual services provided to location professionals on a specific production. Final approval of eligibility shall be determined by the LMGI Awards Committee. A feature film, television program or commercial with eligibility in a prior year cannot be reentered in the current award year, even though it may have been modified with new footage.
The criteria for eligibility in Outstanding Film Commission are:
- The submission must be for a specific feature film, television series or program, or commercial released or broadcast between June 2, 2022 and June 1, 2023.
- At least 60% of the production must have been filmed on location (including 2nd Unit and VFX units if applicable).
- A link to the Official Trailer must be provided. **Note: Must be YouTube or Vimeo format**
Deadline for submissions is Sunday, May 21, 2023 by 11:59 PM PDT.
Submissions in each category will first be determined for eligibility by the LMGI Awards Committee. Nomination voting of eligible submissions by LMGI location professionals in good standing will open June 2, 2023. Nomination voting will close June 11, 2023. Nominated titles will be announced June 30, 2023. Final voting will open July 14, 2023. Final voting will close on July 23, 2023 at 11:59pm PDT. Winners will be announced on August 26th, 2023 at the 10th Annual LMGI Awards gala in Los Angeles in-person and live-streamed.
