“Strategies for Continued Sustainability of Film Locations”

A Joint Event Hosted by the

Directors Guild of Canada, British Columbia (DGC BC)

The Location Managers Guild International (LMGI)

Hotel Georgia, Vancouver

Location Sustainability Day will bring Location Professionals and other industry parties together to celebrate one of the industry’s greatest resources and key to continued success: its filming locations. The BC Film Industry has a long and successful track record in maintaining the viability of locations in the Province and this event is an opportunity to look to the coming years, examine what strategies and policies are working well in keeping filming locations healthy, and what opportunities exist to improve the long term viability of existing locations, and what actions can be taken to address location fatigue and burnout.

  • Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 12:30 pm – 6:00 pm
  • Key Note Speaker: Sandi Richter Cooper, BC Film Commissioner
  • Panel Sessions:
      • War Stories: When the Worst Happens
      • Locations Are About Relationships: The Three Pillars
  • Networking Reception
