Location Managers
Are Now Eligible for
Television Academy Membership

A meaningful step forward in how our work is recognized—and an opportunity to strengthen the presence of Location Professionals across the industry.

Through years of advocacy and collaboration, the Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) helped establish eligibility for Location Professionals within the Television Academy, as part of the Producers Peer Group.

This milestone reflects a broader recognition of the role Location Managers play in shaping storytelling—both creatively and logistically—across television production.

Today, Location Professionals have the opportunity to join their peers within the Academy, engage with the broader creative community, and contribute to how our work is represented at the industry level.

Participation Matters.

As more Location Professionals become part of the Television Academy, our work becomes better understood, more accurately represented, and more visible within the industry.

This is not just about individual membership—it is about strengthening the field as a whole.

The LMGI + Television Academy

The LMGI supports your professional identity, network, and visibility within the industry.

The Television Academy provides access to the broader creative community—where disciplines connect, collaborate, and are represented.

Both matter.
Together, they strengthen your credibility and help elevate the presence of Location Professionals across the industry.
