As a native New Yorker it only makes sense that what I scout is mainly the NY metro area. However over the years I was lucky enough to scout the world: from New England to New Zealand, the Yukon to the Yucatan.
Alas, the business has changed, budgets are challenged, and producers look for “locals” in every hood and hamlet. These days I’m more likely to scout the Hamptons than Hanoi, so it was a special treat last summer when I got the call to explore the rugged coast of Nova Scotia for a Vogue editorial shoot.
There’s no place like home- yet it’s always good to get out of town for awhile!
