Alas, the business has changed, budgets are challenged, and producers look for “locals” in every hood and hamlet. These days I’m more likely to scout the Hamptons than Hanoi, so it was a special treat last summer when I got the call to explore the rugged coast of Nova Scotia for a Vogue editorial shoot.
