Danny Finn was born in the blue-collar smokestack town of Joliet, Illinois, and later raised in Southern California’s Inland Empire.
As his older siblings clandestinely showed him the work of Martin Scorsese and John Carpenter on VHS at far too young an age, Danny became obsessed with cinema and was motivated to pursue a career in the movies. He graduated Dean’s List from The University of California, Irvine with a degree in Film and Media Studies in 2008. In his first post graduate year, Danny took an unpaid internship as a PA on an independent feature; and within the first three days of production, Danny had become the film’s (very unexperienced) Location Manager; and once the feature was flipped union several days after that, he became a member of the Hollywood Teamsters, Local 399. Danny went on to work with studios such as Warner Bros., Universal, Fox, Disney, Viacom, Netflix, Amazon, Sony, HBO, and Apple. He’s a two-time California on Location Award winner for his work in both film and television. He’s worked with talents such as Spike Jonze, Sofia Coppola, David O. Russel, Mike Mills, Chad Stahelski, and Kermit The Frog. He currently lives with his wife, Vanina Alfaro, in Pasadena, California.
